As I sit here writing this on Tuesday, September 30th, 2008, the US government is trying to pass a 700 Billion dollar bailout bill (more like 1 Trillion by the time the ink dries) that will, in essence, take my hard earned dollars out of my wallet and give my dollars to a bunch of reckless, careless, and altogether stupid Goliath financial institutions that have squandered those billions of dollars hedging investments. Investments far more risky than bets laid by a color blind Roulette addict in Vegas!
Are you freakin’ kidding me? If I know nothing else, I know this…“Never let a dog watch your dinner, and never let Congress watch your money!”
- The US Labor department just reported that over 80,000 people have already lost their jobs this year, and potentially hundreds of thousands more could soon follow if a solution to this financial crisis is not quickly averted.
- And if it’s not solved quickly, over 80% of the US banks will likely shut down in the next few weeks, drying up all forms of lending to both individuals, small business, and big business.
- American bankruptcies are up over 50% this year.
- Just about every industry across the board is contracting production, closing plants, and laying off workers.
- Housing values have plummeted, and foreclosures have amassed at historic rates.
I can’t even get gasoline in my car because of the massive shortages all across the Southern United States.
I paid almost $6 for a gallon of milk today so my kids can have their cereal for breakfast in the morning. $6 dollars!!
Things suck!
Folks, if you don’t think that now’s the time to take some action and form a Plan B…..or if you have a Plan B…..start moving it to Plan A….then I really don’t know what to tell you other than WAKE UP.
