The Power of Content
There’s been a debate for the past year or so in the search engine optimization world about ‘content’.
That debate is this…
Is unique content best?
There are those die hard supporters that say that anything but 100% unique content is the only way to go. Others say that 20% or so unique content is acceptable and that anything more hasn’t improved their overall search rankings.
My thoughts are a bit different.
I think it’s HOW the content is used that makes it successful.
I think that you can use 100% duplicate content and if used in a tightly themed manner where the end goal is to give a positive search experience to the visitor you will often perform much better than if you use 100% unique content that lacks a tight focus.
Now, with that being said, I also think that 100% unique content that achieves the same goal is the pinnacle.
